PROJECT MANAGERS - BUILDING CONTRACTOR - IRELAND

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is a leading Irish building contractor working on a broad
range of buildings projects in the healthcare, education, industry,
construction and leisure industries in the UK & Irish markets.

They are seeking to appoint Project Managers to work on large scale
buildings projects € *M+ based in Dublin, Cork
& Limerick city centre.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate capability and experience
in dealing with challenging projects. 

The Project Manager role is to be accountable for managing and
delivering a project from start to completion within the defined
restraints of Health & Safety, Quality, Budget and Programme

Conduct your work in a safe manner – correct and take responsibility
to ensure that all works are carried out to the highest Health and
Safety standards.

Plan and deliver the overall project at hand from pre-start to
handover. 

Schedule the project using appropriate planning software. 

Prepare monthly reports on program, quality, health & safety, progress
and finance (in conjunction with the QS) and present to all project
stakeholders as required under the different contracts. 

Produce a procurement schedule in line with the target program for the
QS to procure. 

Assist the QS and Contracts Manager in producing a full and accurate
scope of works for the different trade packages. 

You will have overall responsibility for both the quality and design
on site in addition to your Team member’s use of the company quality
implementation strategy through BIM. 

Occasionally, you will have to assist in the preparation and
submission of tenders and assisting the estimating department/
Pre-Construction team with programs and construction methodologies. 

Effectively manage your project team to achieve the project goal
through communication, leading by example, training and certain soft
skills in developing and mentoring your team. 

Chair weekly site meetings and QA meetings. 

Ensure production and implementation of project plans, including but
not limited to method statements, risk assessments, inspection and
test plans (ITP’s), BIM management and BIM field applications. 

Ensure the BC(A)R is managed among the team from the start of the
project to handover. Delegate the responsibilities and manage
throughout. 

REQUIREMENTS

Construction related Degree

5+ years experience with Main Contractors  

Proficient in planning software, such as MS Project. 

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint. 

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working
relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

Excellent written, verbal and communication skills. 

Highly organized and methodical approach. 

Excellent problem-solving skills. 

Excellent project management skills must be able to manage and drive
multiple work streams simultaneously. 

Ability to supervise and manage staff.
